Autotectonica is a loosely affiliated group committed to the idea of developing radically new approaches to the evolution of sustainable systems for the future and advancing, developing and promoting the principles of autotectonics.
 
Autotectonics: The art and science of designing and creating self generating, self organizing, self sustaining evolving systems. The technology of independent living systems.
 
From the Greek auto – self, by oneself, independently and tektonikos – pertaining to construction.
 
Such autotectonic systems may be social, political or economic or the autotectonic principles can be applied to specific areas such as architecture, planning, industrial design or to fields such as computing, information theory or communications.
 
Autotectonics is also a way of thinking, a way of living and a way of acting and forms the basis for a new form of design education.
